Priceline.com
Name your Own Price
Hello, William Shatner. I really liked the work you did on "Rescue 911" and "Startrek," but I love the work you do for Priceline.com.
Log on to priceline.com, and click "name your own price" when booking hotel reservations. You can oftentimes get a hotel for literally half off the published rates, if not more, by bidding on hotel rooms. The only catch is that you have no idea until you "win" the hotel which hotel you'll be staying at. Fortunately, you can still select which star rating, general area, and dates you'd like to travel. Hotels in San Francisco that go for $200+ a night were sold to us on Priceline for $69 per night. You really can't beat this.
BONUS TIP
Log on to BetterBidding.com to view a list of Priceline and Hotwire hotels. This takes some of the secretness out of the deal, but that can be a good thing too.
