This is an expansive store that sells everything from clothing, shoes, jewelry books, records and housewares. Unique Thrift organizes its wares much like a department store, cutting out the rummaging other less organized thrift stores may require. For clothing, prices average around $6. Shoppers can gain even greater deals if they get a Unique Thrift card, which will give them half off the entire store on Mondays and 25 percent off on Thursdays.
Although it is organized, Unique Thrift is not a boutique filled with brand name vintage. The Unique Thrift shopper needs time and patience, as well as a love of thrifting, to sift through this store’s wide variety of wares and find the truly amazing steals. Unique Thrift also has a second location in Downtown Brooklyn at 408 Fulton Street.
