Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden

29-19 24th Avenue
Queens (Astoria)

Nothing says summertime like an afternoon at the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria. Part park, part restaurant, part pub, this place boasts an atmosphere that is welcoming to those who love beer, socializing and just having a good time.

The chillness factor of the place is enough to make this an awesome place to suggest to friends and family visiting from out of town, but not so touristy as to be a turnoff for regulars.

Pitchered beer means that this can and will be a cheap place to take friends -- a far cry from the many $5 and $6 a beer bars throughout the city. Yes, it's in Queens, which for Manhattanites will make it cringeworthy.

We haven't tried the food at this place, but allegedly dishes can be had for $9 to $14, not awful, albeit not cheap.
