Atlas Barber School is home of the $5 haircut. Any way you cut it, this is a good deal. The only catch of course is that it is a school; therefore most of the barbers and stylists are learning to cut hair, and may not cut it perfectly.
As for the barbershop, it is a no-frills place. Don't expect a warm towel , or even hot shaving cream. This place is a school, so it's clear that the $5 is meant to cover the rent and some other fixed expenses.
